Using a combination of professional coaching skills, business expertise, intuition and a wealth of life experience, I work most effectively with clients who are facing challenges, experiencing change or want to find a new direction in their working life. I specialise in helping clients to think DIFFERENTLY about their situations and moving forward keeping aligned with their values, vision and potential. I offer 1-1, group and team coaching as well as Walk n Talk sessions outdoors. Whichever you choose, coaching with me is always different!
Why The QUIRKY Coach?
Well, it’s memorable isn’t it? I ran Chartwell Coaching for 10 years, where I focused on Leadership Coaching for SMEs and entrepreneurs, until the recession hit the business hard. It’s very true what Winston Churchill said,
“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
and I didn’t give up. I decided to do something different and started a travel blog called The Quirky Traveller, I love the travel and writing but I missed coaching very much so a couple of years ago I started again. I get very positive feedback and one of the main things people say is that I do things differently. So when it came to setting up this new site, I decided to call myself The Quirky Coach, to highlight that difference and keep consistency with my blogger persona.
I’ve worked in the private and public sector, for large corporates such as HSBC, BT, KPMG and PWC, as well as SMEs and micro businesses, enabling individuals to fulfil their potential and develop stronger leadership, managing others and themselves in congruent and strategically successful ways.
I am a qualified coach with an International Coaching Federation Diploma in Coaching Skills from Coaching Development in 2006. Following on from my training in Ireland, I completed a further 6 months’ mentoring on their Coaching Skills course. I am also trained in NLP, Transactional Analysis and Coach Supervision. I am a qualified teacher with a B.Ed in Education, Psychology and English.
